Meet Kyle Cline Owner, Roofer, and the Person Who Answers the Phone
Cline Construction & Roofing has been based in Pleasant Hill since 2007. Kyle started the business after spending five years managing operations at an insurance restoration company — which gave him a firsthand look at how claims get processed, where contractors fall short, and what homeowners actually need from the person they hire. That experience shapes how he runs every job today.
When you call Cline Construction & Roofing, you're talking to Kyle. When he gives you an estimate, he's the one who shows up to do the work. When the job is done, he's the one who follows up. That's been the model since day one and it's not changing.
My Background
I grew up studying Agricultural Business at Central Missouri State University, but my real education started when I went to work for an insurance restoration company. For five years, I ran sales, production, and the office — meaning I've processed claims from the inside. I know how adjusters evaluate damage, how Xactimate estimates are structured, and exactly what documentation gets a claim approved versus what gets it delayed or denied.
When I founded Cline Construction & Roofing in 2007, I brought that background with me. It's the reason I handle storm damage and insurance restoration differently than most roofing contractors in Cass County — and it's something no competitor in the Pleasant Hill market can offer. When I meet with your adjuster, I'm not guessing at the process. I've been on the other side of it.
One Contractor, One Relationship
I'm also a full-service construction contractor. When a homeowner calls about a storm-damaged roof in Pleasant Hill or anywhere across the Kansas City metro, I can handle the siding, gutters, and windows under the same claim — or build them a pole barn on the back of their property the following spring. One contractor, one relationship, one phone number.
That's not something most roofing companies in the Kansas City metro can say. A lot of them stop at the roof. I don't.
Why Owner-Operated Matters
A lot of roofing and construction companies have grown into something more corporate — multiple crews, project managers, sales teams, and a gap between the person who sold you the job and the person actually doing it. I've watched that happen with competitors and made a deliberate choice to run things differently.
When you call Cline Construction & Roofing, you're talking to me. When I give you an estimate, I'm the one who shows up to do the work. When the job is done, I'm the one who follows up. You deal with one person who knows your project, knows your property, and is accountable for the result — start to finish.

Still Here After the Job Is Done
I've been doing this in the same community since 2007. The roofing, siding, and restoration jobs I complete in Pleasant Hill and across Cass County come back to me — through referrals from neighbors, calls from homeowners who saw a yard sign, and repeat clients who trust that the person who handled their roof will still be around when they need a deck or a home addition.
That's not something you get from a corporate roofing chain or a storm-chaser crew that rolls through after a hail event and moves on. I'll be here after the job is done because this is where I live and work.
Free estimates, no charge to come out, and Kyle picks up the phone. Whether you're dealing with storm damage today or planning a project for next season, call or text 816-540-2634 and we'll get you on the schedule.
